If you want to get close to old-growth redwoods, Jedediah Smith State Park is your best bet. This park is home to some of the tallest trees in the world. It’s a wonderful spot to camp under these ancient redwoods, and it’s a beautiful spot for hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. Camping in this park is a wonderful way to experience the amazing natural beauty of the surrounding area, and the campground is located just nine miles from Crescent City.
